The DiAthlete Africa Tour in 2017 will directly reach young adults, adolescents and children with type 1 diabetes living in developing areas, where crucial medicational supplies such as insulin are challenging to receive and health education greatly lacks.
DiAthlete will operate a series of diabetes educational workshops, school programmes and community running events planned across Zambia, Zimbabwe, South Africa and Ghana, to unite communities, raise awareness of the struggles faced and provide direct advise and encouragement to those living with diabetes who need it the most.
We will partner with local diabetes associations, schools and hospitals to reach every community and provide successful and beneficial events throughout this tour in Spring 2017.
