Dustin Barr has a rare Sarcoma Cancer. He has been fighting the battle of his life time since he was 17 years old.
Dustin has been very strong throughout his battle with cancer and has achieved a Golf Scholarship while undergoing chemo and several operations (I lost count).
Each time Dustin had an operation he bounced back with even more of a fight. Dustin has been so strong throughout this ordeal and has shown us all how to persevere and triump.
We just found out that his cancer is back and has spread. We originally were told that the cancer was in one lymph node and chemo and an operation will likely work since it was caught early. However, they are now saying that it is in many lymph nodes and inoperable based on his latest CT Scan.
This is devastating news and has hit our family and friends, but mostly Dustin very hard. It is devastating to watch someone as strong and brave as Dustin feel like he is losing the battle. Even though he is 21 years old now, he will always be my sweet little nephew in my mind and heart.
So....we need your help. When Dustin was first diagnosed we set up a panel discussion with doctor's from Canada and the US and I think even Europe through Champions Oncology in the US https://championsoncology.com . Sarcoma experts from around the world helped put a plan together to save Dustin and the Canadian Doctors carried out the plan and saved his life and his hip and pancreas.
We need a follow up panel in order to have the experts tell us what the next best steps are for Dustin. We need to pull together to save his life.
Our goal is lofty and we hope to achieve it as quickly as possible in order to get the answers we need as soon as possible. The funds would pay for the panel as well as help with travel for family and Dustin's very special and supportive Girlfriend so he has as much support as possible.
We have had many generous supporters in the past and a lot of people have been asking how they can help. Any contribution would be greatly appreciated.
