Davies Kabogoza Memorial Fund

Donation protected
Davies Kabogoza was a charming 28-year old young man whose life tragically ended on April 29, 2017 while paddleboarding at the Santa Barbara Harbor.  Originally from Uganda, the path of life for Davies in coming to the U.S. was unique and inspiring to every life he touched.

A word from the GoFundMe Campaign organizer, Morris Franklin - For transparency on this GoFundMe campaign, please see the below information:

1.  This GoFundMe campaign has been set up at the request of Hal Conklin, with whom Davies lived for 3 years in Santa Barbara.
2.  I live in Carpinteria and work for the American Red Cross.  If you would like to meet me in person, please feel free to come by my office at 2707 State Street in Santa Barbara.  My LinkedIn profile can be found at: http://linkedin.com/in/morris-franklin
3.  I did not know Davies.  I am friends with Hal Conklin, who told me about the need for funds.
4.  Proceeds from this GoFundMe campaign will primarily go to transporting Davies' body to Uganda for burial.  If there is any money left over, it will go to caring for Davies' mother who has an ongoing illness and humanitarian needs in Davies' home village in Uganda.
5.  Once the primary GoFundMe campaign goal has been reached, donations will be withdrawn and sent directly to Hal Conklin.  I will not ever have possession of the funds.  Ultimate use / distribution of the funds will be under the direction of Hal Conklin.
