Our son David was recently diagnosed with an anaplastic astrocytoma (grade 3 cancerous) brain tumor. The diagnosis came after a biopsy surgery was performed. On May 15, 2015, David is scheduled for resection/removal surgery to extricate as much of the tumor as possible.
Following the surgery the plan is to use radiation and chemo treatments to battle the cells that were not able to be removed due to their physical location in his brain. David will be closely monitored for the progress of treatment, growth rate of the tumor and for any changes that may occur.
Please remember our family in your prayers. We have a long battle ahead of us. David has already told us he is going to have a big story to tell!
