David Reyes' path to recovery

Saturday morning March 11th, our dear friend David Reyes suffered a stroke. The good news is that in the following week he traveled quickly through ICU, CCU and now the best stroke care facility in Vallejo. It is estimated he will rehabilitate for at least two weeks followed by a few weeks of recovery at home.
He continues to make good progress with a lot of hard work on his part. As his friend Pastor Joe said “my hope is that he will be a new and more remarkable version of himself when his restorative work is complete”. Obviously, your thoughts and prayers for David, Christine and their children are much appreciated.
In an effort to anticipate the ongoing care of David and the impact that this event will have on the Reyes' finances we have set up this page to make it easy to show your love and support.
Besides the inability to return to work immediately, there are and will continue to be, out of pocket medical expenses, including simple things like gas back and forth from Novato to Vallejo as well as some temporary accessibility and safety home modifications for David’s return home.
We will continue to keep this page updated as specific elements come to the forefront.

Update 3/24/2017 : Although David is progressing great, it has been brought to my attention that they need several upgrades to their home so that David will be safe there. I'm increasing the target by $5,000 to $12,500 to accommodate this.
