On July 26, David, Tina and their two dachshunds, Scooter and Schatzi, were headed to Lake Martin for the weekend when they were involved in a car accident. David and Schatzi both died at the scene. Tina was transported by helicopter to a nearby hospital in Montgomery where she was treated and released later that night with a broken arm, a lot of bruises and a life that will be forever changed. Scooter has been missing since the accident. We continue to search and pray for his safe return.
We have created this page in honor of David and with the hopes that we can help Tina with some of the medial bills and funeral expenses. Donations can also be made at any Renasant Bank location to the David Moody Memorial Fund account. Anyone who knew David knows how much he loved Tina so we want to be sure she is taken care of during a time where she has lost so much.
David loved the lake and spent most of his weekends there with Tina and the dogs. They may have lived in Monroeville but we at the Ridge Marina consider them our neighbor, our friends and part of our family.
David touched so many lives with his humor and wonderful personality. If you had the pleasure of meeting him, you had the pleasure of calling him your friend.
Please join us in honoring David by helping Tina. I know it would put that infamous little smirk on his face. David you may be gone but your spirit and laughter will forever roam the docks and our memories. Thank you dear friend for a lot of laughs, wonderful friendship and stories to tell for years to come.
