What Happened...
Dave's drum gear was stolen from his car as it was parked in our driveway. He lost his favorite drum kit, two complete sets of valuable cymbals, all his drum and cymbal cases, his drum throne, and even his stick bag. Everything is gone.
Many of you have been blessed by Dave Kropf's playing, compassion, wisdom, and kindness over the years. This is a critical time to return the love and kindness and show Dave your support!
It's difficult to describe the emotional impact of losing his Zildian Constantiople cymbals, curated over time and hand-picked for each cymbal's unique sound.
The Mapex Micro drum kit has been his pride and joy for nearly 20 years. Nothing can replace the memories he has of countless gigs on this kit. But we can show him our love and support by helping to replace it.
As you all know, this is how Dave makes a living. It's not a hobby. It's not even just a job. Dave lives and breathes music, and works tirelessly to pass along his wisdom and love for excellence to others.
While we've filed a police report and will be scouting pawn shops and Craig's List, unfortunately, the likelihood of getting the gear back is small.
