Hey there and thanks for taking your time to come check out my goal.
Im Danny dad of 5 beautiful kids 3 girls and 2 boys and i live in Birmingham and work for Birmingham city council as a refuse collector (13 years still going strong), i started paragliding in 2011 and ever since my feet left the ground on my first flight iv been hooked.
Iv been to some pretty beautiful places in Europe and feel privalaged to have seen some of the views iv seen. All these trips kits and other things have been made able threw hard work and working my butt off and as much overtime as my body will allow me to do :)
In 2015 i signed up for Wings of Kilimanjaro. You get the chance to walk up the worlds tallest freestanding mountain and then fly off the summit (Weather permitting of course).
But thats not the best part in the process we raise money for the local Tanzanian Maasai, These communities currently have no local access to accessible, safe or clean water and in some communities water borne illness has caused infant mortality rates to be as high as 60%. Clean water changes lives in so many ways, from health, to hygiene to dignity.
All people deserve access to clean water. (Right)?
Also the fundraising money is used to build schools, deliver clean water projects and also focus on sustainable and environmentally restorative activities.
Wings of Kilimanjaro works with its partner Worldserve International to help deliver the things they most desperatly need.
Im not asking for handouts, as the trip will mostly be funded by myself and as much as i can possibly afford, im just asking for a little help so i can get some kit together and help with getting my flying gear across to africa and with whats ever left over i will be donating to the locals as this realy will change there life.
Ill be posting proof of the donation to Wings of Kilimanjaro so you have peace of mind.
Even if i only raise £2,000 this will mean so much, im quite happy to purchase 2nd hand equiptment so there is more left over for the locals, im quite a strong person and dont need the best of the best i can manage very well with very little.
Guys in terms of being thank full i dont think i could write in words how much this means to me. This realy is a once in a lifetime trip for me so please help me hit the summit and raise some cash for these wonderful people who need OUR help.
