She is survived by her husband Josh, and their 3 children Kaylee (10), Mckenzie (6) and JJ (3)
-It is with extremely heavy hearts and great sadness that we begin our new year. A very sweet and beautiful soul was taken from us unexpectedly leaving behind her husband, Joshua, and their three young children Kaylee, Mckenzie and JJ. Dana was just 33 years old and touched the hearts of everyone who knew her. Please help us raise money for her final farewell during this painful time as the family grieves.
A Note from Josh-
-On 12/29/17, an extraordinary, phenomenal loving mother of 3, just 33 years young, was suddenly taken from us. Dana Saunders died in my arms from a sudden Pulmonary Embolism that no one saw coming in the midst of a beautiful holiday season together. She leaves behind our 3 kids; Kaylee (10), Mckenzie (6), JJ (3).
-It goes without saying that we could never have imagined such a tragedy occurring to the woman that gave the life to our 3 wonderful children and was raising them to be strong, loyal, respectful, smart, among other qualities. Anyone who knew her saw her incredible reflection in our children and witnessed her powers as a mother. She was unmatched.
-Having served in the Marines, we made plans if I never came home. But we could have never imagined losing Dana. What do we do now? Where do we pick up? How do I ensure that my 3 year old son has some memory of his amazing mother?
-Dana was the rock of our family. I am at a complete loss, and doing my best to pick up the pieces and continue the amazing life that Dana started for our children. Dana deserves a beautiful funeral that honors her life. We will likely have medical expenses that fall through the Insurance gap. And unfortunately, I will probably need support for the kids while I get my life organized at work and find a way to make my schedule the most manageable to provide for my family, while being with the kids as much as possible in the most difficult time of their lives. I would like to seek professional help for the 4 of us as well in dealing with the tragedy of losing a wife, and a mother to 3.
-I know my close friends and family will be here for our family as much as possible ;words cannot explain how thankful we are. But unfortunately we will also have a financial burden to bear and I kindly ask for your help.
-Dana’s loss and memory is something we’ll be dealing with the rest of our lives. Your help will make this recovery just a bit easier for us. Funeral details will follow. Thank you so much for your help.
