Dallis' Journey

Dallis is a sweet and beautiful 21 month old little girl full of life and joy.  Recently she was diagnosed with a rare type of cancer in her eyes called Retinoblastoma. She. along with her mommy and daddy Jason and Chantal were on an airplane within 24 hours heading for  Toronto to seek medical treatment at Sick Kids Hospital. As this is a rare type of cancer, the hospital in Calgary is not equip to deal with this case.  21 month old children are not supposed to be cancer patients! This is a very difficult time for the family, and there will be many big decisions to make. As Jason is off work to be with his daughter, there will be many financial aspects that come into play. There will be many trips back and forth for this family and many expenses incurred  . Along with dealing with cancer, Dallis is going to become a big sister next month, and as this cancer can often be genetic, the new baby will need to undergo testing as soon as he is born. The shock of hearing your child has cancer would be life altering. Please show your support and care to this precious little family during this very difficult and unexpected time in their lives.
