Divine Urban eXpressions Arts N Dance Production is raising funds to effectively serve the youth and families in our community.
This is your chance to support the DUeX Dream Team and our efforts to continue nurturing the "God Gifted" talents of Knoxville's Youth and Young Adults.
We simply give them a platform to express themselves creatively and provide them an opportunity to motivate and inspire others in their community to rise above their extenuating circumstances.
We are there for them 24/7 when they call and we do more than keep them way from gangs. We accept them for who they are, and we help them figure out what they are good at.
We show them the love and help them receive the positive attention they need to reach their greatness.
Our program is free because our parents cannot afford to pay much for a high quality dance program and we help our members get to and from practices and performances because most would not be able to participate if we didn't get them there.
Lastly we keep them alive and safe by keeping them active in something positive outside of school and church. In order to continue serving our youth and their families effectively, we need help from our community and others who are able to help.
Any support is welcomed to help transport dance members and their families to and from practices and performances 3 times per week. It is our desire to be able to purchase a van. Currently the entire group is picked up by Miss Felecia and Mrs. Audrey. We simply pack our cars and make two or three runs making sure everyone makes practice on time. Doing so assures that every dancer gets to practice as desires.
Others needs include seasonal dance outfits including t-shirts and warmup suits for each of the smaller groups composing the Dream Team - Baby Dream Team, Divine Divas, and the Mighty Kings. Also, it is our desire to compensate your dance members and mentors who serve as Jr. and instructors in sharing their talents with the group. We would like to be able to afford rental space when the weather outside is not the best until we are able to secure a dance studio of our own with mirrors, music equipment and the works. We currently need a portable PA system with USB and wireless capabilities if possible with Mic.
We simply reach out the youth in our community who may not have easy access to other programs created in our community. We welcome any support we can get. Any dollar amount from $1 and up will assist us in our efforts to "encourage the creativity to discourage the chaos" in our community.
