Dublin Silver Band-Brass in Concert

The Dublin Silver Band’s recent 1st place finish at the US Open Brass Band Championship  carried with it an extra honor:  an invitation to represent our country.  We have been invited to be the North American representative at Brass in Concert in Gateshead, England in November of 2016 .  Brass in Concert is the most prestigious entertainment contest in the brass band world, and it is a wonderful privilege to be chosen as the American representative.

Along with the privilege comes the responsibility of paying for the trip…a tall order to be sure.  We are glad to have a year to prepare, both musically and financially.  We will be relying heavily on the kind assistance of folks like you.  

Money raised through this drive will be used for scholarships for band members that would be unable to make the trip without assistance as well as commissioning new pieces of music for the contest.  

We will be making payments from February - September of 2016, so help before then would be greatly appreciated.
