D.O.P.E. YOUTH DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM

D.O.P.E. (Determined to Obtain Pure Excellence) Youth Development Program, is a ten week program that serves adolescents from under-served and under-represented communities.
The objective of the program is to uplift the adolescents in order to help them achieve their potential and goals.
Throughout the ten week program, the youth focus on Goal Development, Coping with Anger & Depression, resolving issues with Self Esteem and Bullying, Health & Wellness, the risks of Substance Abuse, Family Dynamics, Multicultural & Diversity Issues, Economics & Entrepreneurship, Education & STEAM Careers, and how to improve their Communication & Leadership Skills.
Each session is led by dynamic speakers and community leaders with expertise in their respective field, providing chance opportunity for ongoing mentorship.
Previous graduates of the program have been recognized by Congresswoman Judy Chu and Assemblyman Christopher Holden.
The program was co-created by Dr. Niama T. Malachi and Elder Gloria Davis in Pasadena, California (2015) and has expanded to the city of Chicago, IL (2018).
We are looking to raise funds in order to provide the youth with an optimal experience. Your donation will offset the cost of program materials, speaker fees, awards, meals, graduation materials & cost, meeting space fees, as well as Chicago start up fees. 10% of all donations will be allocated to our fiscal sponsor, The Homeless Network Association.
