Desert Mountain Wolves Lacrosse

This page was created to raise necessary funds for our not-for-profit Desert Mountain Wolves Lacrosse Club at Desert Mountain Hign School (DMLC). Our 501(c)(3) number is 26-2618249, so all of your donations are tax deductible.

High School  lacrosse is currently considered a club sport in the State of Arizona, which means, unlike sanctioned sports, these teams receive no school funds or support. All of our operating expenses (field rentals, lights, uniforms, referee fees, etc) are the responsibility of our families.

Our team lost 13 seniors this past season and we expect to graduate approximately 15 more this season.  In order to continue our program without drastically increasing membership fees, we sincerely need your help.  Our primary goal is to continue to grow the sport in  Arizona and still be able to offer scholarship opportunities for players that want to try our sport but are unable to purchase new  equipment or contribute to the registration fees.  The good news is, our club had a fantastic season last year making it to the semi-finals and our current players are determined to continue our winning tradition! Most importantly...they have HEART!!!  As in past  years, we are positioned to have both a JV and Varsity team.  Our new Head Coach, Zac Mendoza, began his lacrosse career at Desert Mountian.  After much success as a lacrosse player as a 3 time All American at ASU, he is bringing his passion back to Desert Mountain. 

Our continued success requires a few strategic investments  for our players, coaches, and program.  These costs and investments  can't be supported through the annual season fees without impacting participation levels.

The all-volunteer parent board of DMLC has identified the following immediate needs for the club that your donations will help fund:

* a film videographer for our home games.  The ability to have game film after games will allow our coaches to review and and highlight both our successful plays and review areas for player growth in our games.

* a rugged portable sound & PA system that can be easily transported and used for home games to play music and broadcast announcements to attendees.

*2 portable Rage Cage lacrosse goals, capable of folding down for easy transportation to practice fields and games. This allows our very self motivated players to get together in our off season to keep up their stick skills.

 *a large, rugged score board for lacrosse that can be easily read from the parents side of the field.

The sooner we begin collecting donations,  our goals can become reality....and our club will be able to put your donations to use in a very real, lasting and visible way  for years to come.

If your business is interested in making a donation to our organization, we would be glad to put your business logo on our website and announce your business name at our home games as well--once we have the ability to do so of course!
