Digital Love Offering: Florida

Adrian Calhoun is the Senior Pastor of New Smyrna Beach First Church of the Nazarene in Florida. A few weeks ago, Hurricane Irma hit, filling their home 2+ feet high and ruining most of their belongings. Let's love on them this Pastor Appreciation Month with a Digital Love Offering! These funds will go toward their personal expenses as they see fit.

Here is his story in his own words:
My name is Adrian Calhoun and I am the Senior Pastor of New Smyrna Beach First Church of the Nazarene. Hurricane Irma had disastrous effects upon our community as my wife and I lost our home to 26 inches of water as well as most of our possessions in it. So far we have had to replace everything from beds, to washer and dryer, and all appliances and furniture.

Our church also took some continued roof damage as we were in need of a new one after hurricane Matthew. We are in the process of relocating and replanting our church so losing our home came at a very difficult time. Though this has been difficult for us, and for our church God has been bringing unexpected blessings and people our way. Our district church family has been a Godsend and has arranged for us to stay in an apartment. We still have a long way to go as far as recovering back to normal as we have a lot to replace. Despite all of this God is still good.

Please pray for us that God will continue to make a way for us in replanting this church as well as bring about the people willing to take on this church plant journey with us in the future. We are in desperate need of some additional leadership for children and families, teens, as well as directing music. For us personally please pray God would bring a quick resolution to this home issue in guiding us to a new house and that he would continue to be glorified through this whole process.
