1st Mission Trip to Dominican Republic

Thank you for taking the time to check out my page and see what I'm up to. As you may or may not know, I am a second quarter student at Life University in Atlanta! I am happy to say that I've truly found my life's calling; Chiropractic. It might have taken me 28 years to discover...but better late than never!
Before starting school, I began to immerse myself in all things Chiropractic. My favorite part of school has been building connections and attending seminars. I have been training the ART of chiropractic with some badass individuals at seminars, camps and clubs. Prior to this trip I’ll have attended 11 adjusting seminars in an effort to expand and grow as a future Doctor of chiropractic. 23 amazing friends and I have been training for some pretty amazing things to come!
On September 28, 2019 I have the pleasure of going on a Chiropractic service trip to Santiago De Los Caballeros, Dominican Republic! I'll spend Four days adjusting the beautiful people of the Dominican Republic with students and Doctors from around the country. This is a committed, focused and highly intentional group of passionate students whose desire is nothing less than to serve people at the highest levels possible.

Why Chiropractic? Chiropractic is the science, art and philosophy of detecting and removing vertebral subluxations. Subluxations are minor dislocations of spinal bones (vertebra) that cause the nerves exiting the spinal cord to become impinged. When this occurs the brain is not able to communicate messages from the brain to the body and vice versa. These messages can be for heart rate, digestion or even breathing. The brain also allows us to interact with the world...how we feel, who we love and what motivates us. If there is an interference in the transmission of these messages someone will not be able to function at their highest potential, which can impact physical, mental, emotional and spiritual well being. Chiropractic adjustments restore the brain-body connection to facilitate healing and improved nervous system communication.
Why do I need your help? Although this is a Trip of a lifetime, it is not a vacation. In order to make this a reality, it is going to require money. My goal of $2,200 will cover all potential expenses...flights, food, ground transportation and lodging (4 days). Food and proper hydration is especially important given the conditions and volume of people we will serve.
