Craig's 50th Birthday Surprise!

Hello Friends and Family, this 4th of July, Craig is turning 50 and I want to do something big for him!! He really has got to be the most caring, generous, hard working person I've ever met. He is a loving, committed father, husband and friend.  He works an incredibly hard job, never has a minute to himself and somehow he never complains.  He is the kind of person who is constantly looking for ways to make other people's lives easier and happier.  And not just his own family and friends, he puts himself out there for complete strangers every single day in so many ways.  If you know Craig, I can almost guarantee that he has done something unexpected and kind for you or you've seen him go far out of his way to help someone else.  Craig hates to be the center of attention and hates to be acknowledged, so a big party would be a nightmare for him.  He even asked me to start spreading a rumor that his birthday is actually July 5th so everyone would miss it haha!  And if he knew I was planning anything he would probably convince everyone not to do it, so don't tell him!!  I've got a really great idea but I'm going to need all of your help...
     I want to raise the money to fix our old pool for him!  He used to love to see our kids and their friends all swimming and having fun and after working sometimes 12-14 hour days doing dishes and cooking in the blazing hot kitchen of AllWays , he'd come home and get in the pool to cool off before even stepping foot in the house.  But our pool is in need of major repairs and has been sitting stagnant for many years now as we don't have the money to fix it.  Honestly, it's been a really depressing and demoralizing thing in our lives.  So I had this crazy idea, that maybe...just maybe, I could get enough people on board to make it happen.  So I've been getting professional estimates.  It doesn't hold water so we had a company come test all the lines to see where it was losing water.  The good news is that the underground lines are all good so we don't have to have the pavement jack-hammered up to have new lines installed.  Unfortunately, the inside of the pool does have to be completely redone, new gunnite, tiles and coping as well as a new cover to protect it over the winter and fixing or replacing the pump and filter.  The least expensive estimate I've got so far is going to be $15,000+.  I know that's a ridiculous amount of money...but I also know how many people love Craig and appreciate the kind of person he is and would love nothing more than to be a small part of doing something incredible for him to show him that who he is makes this world brighter for so many.  I spend a lot of my life wishing I could make Craig's life just a little bit easier, just a little bit happier, and I think this is the perfect way. 
     Would you consider being a part of this?  If all the people who love him donate money toward this surprise birthday gift, it will add up and we will easily hit our goal.  Would you help me spread the word about this by sharing it on facebook (he hasn't really been on fb for years so I'm not too worried about him seeing this)?  Would you go so far as to mention it to your friends who maybe aren't on fb who you think would like to be a part of it??  Pretty please??  Making this happen for Craig would be a dream come true for me and if anyone deserves something unexpected and amazingly over the top to happen to them, it's Craig <3
