Courtney Greenleaf's Recovery

On Thursday June 14th my sister Courtney fell and hit her head .  Luckily, my mother was there when she fell and recognized something was wrong. Courtney was transported to the hospital to get checked out. She was talking to the nurses and suddenly went unconscious, they reacted quickly, found a blood clot and did emergency brain surgery. They successfully removed the blood clot which was as big as a fist, the doctor told us that the recovery could be either fast or slow and that only time will tell.

There have been many ups and downs with Courtney's recovery however, we are now heading into a positive path which we pray will keep progressing. She had the breathing tube and neck brace removed and her seizures have stopped. Still there is a long road ahead. They informed our family that they will keep a portion of her skull off for at least 2-3 months, and there will be 2-3 years of recovery i.e. physical therapy to learn how to walk again (if she can), learn how to talk/use her brain for normal everyday things (it's too early to tell what the damage may be, if any).

The time she will be recovering she will have bills and treatment costs piling up, that is why we have created this GoFundMe account to help my sister with her financial obligations. Please don't feel obligated you can always show your love and support in different ways which we appreciate more than you know.
