Courageous Chris Clashes w/ Cancer

Some of you may know him by Chris while others by the nickname of “Rufio.” Personally, I have the privilege of calling him my big brother. As a man of 34 years of age, he wears many hats. He is a son, brother, uncle, grandson, nephew, friend and mentor. Chris had recently relocated to Florida, and is the sole provider for his fiancée their 2 children, Na’ym and Angelika .
Chris’ clash with cancer began after entering the emergency room due to abdominal pain. He had thought it was a simple issue, and even advised a business association that he would be in and out of the hospital in no time. Unfortunately, life seems to always happen when you’re making plans. On September 11th, 2018, after 6 days of being hospitalized and countless tests, the diagnosis was revealed. Stage 4 Cancer. In this rare case, malignant tumors in the appendix ruptured effecting the bladder and lungs as well. The plan of action: aggressive chemotherapy followed by major surgery.
From out of sheer darkness, a light shines in the form of his smile. Chris has decided to be optimistic. The conviction in his voice, and the fire within his heart gives hope to all those around him. However, due to his illness, he is unable to work and support his family.
Chris began his first round of chemotherapy on September 16th. He is ready to face this crucible, but this is a battle that he needs not face alone. Every true warrior needs time to tend to their wounds and heal. Therefore, we are raising funds to assist him with the cost of medical treatments, and loss of income needed to provide for his family. No amount is too small. We need your help, words of encouragement, prayers and positive energy. Please spread the word.
