Clean Water For Flint

We want to thank everyone for your support so far!! We used this GoFundMe initially to pay for the legal battles we've faced since early 2015. This is an ongoing struggle.
I'm not changing this up to address bathing and hygiene needs. We are receiving bottled water donations from around the country but people are afraid to bathe. So in order to avoid bacterial issues, we are looking for donations for:
-Dry shampoo
-Hand sanitizer
-Baby wipes
-Personal hygiene wipes
-and similar items.
On a personal note, we've been delivering supplies and water for quite some time and would like to continue to do so. I'm personally on sick leave from work due to the water so I am unable to foot the bill like I have been. Thank you for understanding. -Melissa Mays
"We feel Flint deserves the best water source, one that is safe and consistent," said Harris, who is also the pastor at Saints of God Church. "That is our thesis, and we won't back down from it."
That's what we are fighting for. Due to the mounting health issues and new DEQ & EPA violations as well as the current ones, we have filed injunctions and lawsuits to demand the MDEQ test and monitor properly. We've had to legally force them to do their jobs. In the meantime, we are paying the highest bills in the nation for the lowest quality of water. We need safe water and cannot drink or cook with our tap water until the EPA proves the water is safe when it comes to TTHMs, Lead, Copper, Sediment, Bacteria and other contaminants.
We need cleaning supplies. Bacterial infections are spread when proper hygiene isn't used. We are too afraid to use our taps for brushing our teeth or even washing our hands. We need hand sanitizer, baby wipes and other bathing alternatives.
And we need help informing our neighbors since the State has not sent out a mailer telling people not to drink the water. All the info we have sent out has been printed out of our own pockets.
Clean, Safe, Affordable Water is all we're demanding and have been for months. It's sad that we have to go legal with it, but we have no other options since our voices have been ignored. WE ARE NOT GUINEA PIGS!!
