Nu Alpha Kappa Fraternity, Inc. strives to be an empowering force in the communities it serves. Every year we do hundreds of hours of service and raise thousands of dollars to host philanthropic events in the community.
NAKland Children’s Carnival is our annual philanthropic event, a wonderful experience for those involved and for the community we serve.
NAKland Children’s Carnival celebrates the Latin American holiday, “Dia Del Niño”. “Dia Del Niño” has been celebrated in Latin America since 1925. The main focus is on the children and making them feel special on this day as they are the future of America. In shopping malls all over Latin America, special events with clowns, magicians, music, shows and balloons take place. NAKland is a one-day children’s carnival, free to everyone. This carnival has jump houses, dunk tanks, carnival themed games, food, and toys all free for the kids. We invite all Chico State organizations to collaborate with us by providing carnival games for the
children and we also invite any Chico State student who is interested in volunteering to volunteer as well.
In the past we have hosted 7 successful NAKland Children’s Carnivals; however, we are still facing some challenges with raising the funds to host this event.
With your contribution we are hoping to be able to make this carnival bigger and have more attractions for the kids of the Chico community. Every dollar you donate will help us put a smile on a child’s face.
