Chickcana Care Recovery Funds

I’m starting this Go Fund Me page in honor of John Chickanis who is currently in the hospital fighting for his life. A week ago he was having chest pains and drove himself to the hospital where he painfully waited for Doctors to decide on a diagnosis. After a week of waiting and struggling through the pain they decided to perform Open Heart Surgery to repair his congenital heart valve disease which had worsened from the stress of fighting the staph infection in his hip. The doctors then discovered the infection had spread to his heart.

 He has been in and out of the hospital the past few months and still always manages to stay positive. For those that know him we can all agree at how lucky we are to have such an amazing soul in our life. He is always the life of the party; quick with a joke to make you smile, and willing to help others anyway he can; so this is the least I can do.

 As family and friends pray for a successful recovery it will not be quick. He is still in critical condition and not out of the woods yet. But he is a fighter! Since he has not been able to work for several months and the medical bills will be coming soon I wanted to find a way to help… starting here with all of you.
