Emergency College Tuition

Donation protected
In desperate need of college money. If I cannot come up with $3,000 by Sept 5th then I will have to drop out of school. If I manage to get the $3,000, I'll need another $3,000 by Nov 5th to stay in school. Then starts the monthly payments. I am unable to obtain student loans and have no availabe cosigners. This leaves me unable to meet my tuition.

Why? A series of unfortunate events pretty much sums up my life.

Five years ago we had a plan. A great plan. I am a very dedicated and serious student that hopes to make a change in this world with my work. I have been working hard to obtain those goals.

Most people do know that I was able to finish high school with honors at the same time earning my Associates Degree in General Studies from Wytheville Community College. Magna Cum Laude. PTK. BETA. National High School Scholars Honors. I was in various programs and was able to study Genetics for a summer at Lynchburg College. I also received certifications in Small Animal Care, Veterinary Assisting, and General Education. However, when I was in the genetics lab, that is where I knew I found my future career.

Most people don't know the challenges and what happened during this time. From facing my brother attempting suicide, my best friend considering suicide, my mother being diagnoses with Lupus, and severe depression and anxiety problems myself, we faced the hardship of my father's crisis. My father was disabled and we lost 75% of our income overnight. Not only did we lose that income, we started incurring unsurmountable debt. After five years of medical illnesses that include heart attacks, 5 bypasses, 2 stents, a major stroke on the left side, a major stroke on the right side, becomeing word deaf with aphasia, and suffering from significant seizures the medical bills are over $100,000 to date.

I need help.

I was accepted into my dream school - Hail Pitt - during my senior year. However, my father was so sick during that time we were not sure he was going to live. After spending Christmas Eve home alone and then Christmas Day at the hospital, I fell into a deep depression. Around graduation, he was ill again, in and out of the hospital, and I felt like I could not leave my family at that time. I decided to stay home and forfeited my financial aid package.

I made the best of my time and enrolled in the local community college where in just a year I obtained my second Associates Degree in Science.  I reapplied and was reaccepted to my dream school as a transfer student entering as a Junior - Hail Pitt!  Declaring pre-med and majoring in Molecular Biology (concentration on genetics).  When doing so, I did not know that the cost to my pocket would of changed from 5,000 to 25,000.  We applied for all the financial aid and federal loans that we could that brought that amount down.

My family is great and do what they can. But we need a miracle. I'm praying and am having faith that God will help us find a way. I'm asking you, if you are able, in any way to hep us. Any amount, even $1 - less than you pay for a coffee - can help me more than you know.

Who knows, if I am lucky enought to meet my goals and further my education, I could change the world. Your world. For the better.  There's no better plan than that.

Thank you in advance for the help. Take care and God Bless.  I don't know who you are, but I love you.
