Cheryl Deserée- "Dreamy, too"

We're so excited to announce the continuation of recording my sophomore studio album, "Half". The word "half" is meant to acknowledge the duality of my life. I've always found myself being pulled in two directions in many areas of my life- musically, politically, religiously, racially, romantically. The songs featured on this project will highlight some of those struggles while embracing once again, all the musical sounds that comprise my heart & soul.
"Half" will be chock full of my signature sound- a sultry jazz ballad, classic country shuffles & waltzes, a jump blues dance number, a sexy cha-cha, some fiddle heavy western swing, a blue yodel, a Samoan love song & even that long forgotten style- the country recitation. All will be performed by the finest musicians in Nashville... and beyond. The first song is completed- a cover of Louis Prima & Keely Smith's "Oooh-dah-dilly-dah" sung with musical giant, Ray Benson, of Grammy award winning Western swing band Asleep at the Wheel.
