Charity Lane's Album Impacts Nepal
Hi, my name is Charity Lane.
My band and I have decided to use our upcoming album to raise money to fight against human trafficking in Nepal!
We've been working hard on an album this past year - pouring love and energy (and some tears) into this project to make it something special (and we're almost done!)
For me, this picture wasn't complete without using it to reach beyond ourselves, to help other people.
Why we're doing this:
It feels like my life has been leading up to this - to be able to combine my two life passions, that they can support one another.
As a 10 year old, I remember crying in anger and empathy of the boys and girls my age, trapped in abuse. Today's the day that I finally get to make a difference.
Each year, over 15,000 children are trafficked from Nepal into India, and around the world.
Women's Protection Center Nepal is a safe home in Hetauda Nepal, that works in the rehabilitation, education and vocational training of those rescued from trafficking, and those at risk.
They just finished building their new safe home this year, and are ready for growth and volunteers. So I've decided to go work there for almost two months this Fall! I have been preparing by working at a sewing factory for the past year and half, teaching children's art classes and adult craft classes, interning at a community garden, and attending a leadership and ministry school.

The vision is that this album will forever help this cause. It'll go beyond this trip, and beyond this year. I hope that this is just the start of continuing work like this throughout my life - using creativity to support something even bigger - to support people.
The Beginning:
To lift this off the ground, and make all this possible, we need $7,000
Half of this amount will used to help us finish the album, by funding:
> The recording of the album
> Paying the musicians
> Mastering the album
> Merch
> Photos
> and will help pay for a venue for our Album Release Show
The other half will be used to send me to work in the safe home
+ a donation to WPC Nepal
This will cover:
> Flight
> Visa
> Room and board
> Local transportation
> Misc. costs / fees
> A donation to the safe home
The Continuation:
Anything else we raise, or any profits we make on this album in the future, or merch associated with this project, will continue to be split 50/50, as donations to WPC Nepal.
When I get back from serving in Nepal, my band and I will be working on putting together our Album Release Show for sometime in the new year (aiming for January). This will be a celebration and continuation of this work.

> If you donate $25 or more will also receive the physical copy of the album, and a ticket to our big album release show (which is in the works for sometime in the new year!)
