Hello, and thank you all for viewing the fundraising campaign for Cease Fire's website project.
My name is Nathan Ryder. I am the co-founder of this organization, along with my comrade and brother Thomas Counihan IV, and I am a combat veteran of the United States Army's 2nd Infantry Division.
Last year, while working as Scuba and Surf instructors on the island of Oahu, Tommy and I were overwhelmed with an idea to further our recovery from our own combat experiences and injuries, by helping others find and retain a healthy passion. We have both found that our passions for extreme sports and outdoor recreation have been the most effective means of therapy available to us, and we are sure that it will help others as well.
Cease Fire seeks to provide customized equipment for adaptive athletes with disabilities, as well as specialized adaptive training and regional community events throughout the year, that keep our members up to date on the progress we are making. Most importantly, these events are meant to ensure that our members are interacting socially with other veterans, and taking advantage of the support the veteran family is willing to provide.
Currently, Cease Fire is seeking $5,000 to fund the construction and optimization of a website and fundraising platform of our own. Any excess funds will be put directly toward our next fundraising campaigns goal.
