Embracing someone’s pain and living someone’s pain are two different things.”
On Christmas day, CBP Seized Property Specialist Luz Carrera a true warrior and dear friend was confronted with one of the most excruciating battles in their lives; her son’s (Cesar Salazar) battle with cancer.
Luz admitted her oldest son Cesar “Tito” to the UCSD Hospital in San Diego where she learned Tito was facing Acute Leukemia and Lymphoma. Since then, Tito has endured, several surgeries and massive treatments of aggressive chemotherapy to contain the disease.
Tito is a young man striving for the pursuit of a successful career as a computer engineer and currently attending Grossmont College. He has recently been accepted to several universities to finish his academic degree.
Luz currently works at the Calexico East Port of Entry as a Seized Property Custodian. Tito has two siblings attending Junior High and High School in Calexico. However, his mother has not left his side since he was admitted. His sibling miss him dearly as well as his family and friends.
I respectfully request that you consider giving a donation for the Medical Care for this wonderful young human being. The family is in a financial obligation for his Medical Expenses and as this is a severe hardship.
This money will help pay mounting medical bills.
We thank everyone who conitinues to believe in tomorrow!
