Vision: Creating refugee camps that; heal the ground camps are built on, enable food growth, provide teaching on environmentally friendly building methods and alternative fuels all while providing security and shelter. We achieve this by using
interconnected modular designs that can be built into a made to measure system. We then implement these systems using participatory building methods ensuring that a maximum of knowledge is held and maintained by the refugees. These new-found skills empower the refugees towards livelihoods within as well as beyond the camps. We have already implemented our modular designs in Nepal, Lebanon and Greece.

To take on all support functions enabling these change agents to focus their skills on helping those in need. This practically entails providing all financial management services, contract drafting and negotiation, event planning, travel booking, support with funding applications, communication and marketing strategies and website support.

My/Mon influence: I am the founder of Beetroots as well as one of the vision holders. I provide my global project management skills as well as my facilitation. I also contribute to all daily administrative and logistical support functions.

Vision: Youth-led Societal Innovation for Resilience (ySI4R) AKA Bridgedale360° provides educators and youth leaders with the tools necessary to inspire youth to become active change makers in their communities. The tools are hosted online in the form of guided activities and are free for all to access. There are over 100 activities shared in English with 21 core activities translated into Slovenian, German, Spanish, Italian, Macedonian and Swedish.

I have been a Corporate Responsibility & Sustainability manager for several global organisations across three different sectors: Cosmetics, Aerospace Engineering and Hospitality.

I am highly skilled and passionate. Since November 2015 have been offering my abilities full time to 3 projects dedicated to bringing about positive change. We have achieved some wonderful results across this time while I committed my hours without making an income.

After using up my savings and leaning on friends and family for 8 months, I am now reaching out to my community. I am asking for €14000 of your support so that I may keep working on these critical projects for the coming 12 months, without the pressure of being paid. This gives time to the projects I am working on to financially mature and, for the immediate time, allows them to direct their minimal funds to implementing the work rather than covering my hours.

Why/Pourquoi €14,000?
This is a one-time-only crowd funding campaign to bridge from now until Blueprint & Beetroots generate an income. This campaign is to relieve the financial pressures which would otherwise mean that I need to take conventional paid work which would reduce my time commitment to these game-changing projects. Here is an outline of how I intend to put €14,000 to good use across the coming 12 months:
€500/month for food, fuel, motorway tolls and international adapter plugs

€4,500 for a van to enable trans-European travel for projects, namely Greece. This will also allow colleagues to travel along and provide a place to sleep between projects.

A significant portion of the funds will continually go towards travel, ensuring that I keep advocating for these projects. For example I recently presented on and represented Blueprint at the Global Ecovillage Network Conference in Spain. This means that your money will maintain my lean living while enabling me to commit 100% of my time to Blueprint, Beetroots & Bridgedale360°. Your support will ensure that we reach our tipping point for resilience within twelve months and deliver our services to those who need them most!

Originally a maths and physics baccalaureate, I studied pure mathematics with computer programming at Aarhus University in Denmark. I soon realised that my passion for our beautiful blue planet meant that I needed to educate myself in a more connected degree, so I shifted to Conservation Biology in Lincoln, UK. I speak 3 languages fluently; English, French and Danish and have a conversational level of Spanish and Italian.
