Canelo Cowboy Church (CCC) has served the communities of Canelo, Sonoita, Sierra Vista, Patagonia and Tucson Arizona since 2008. CCC focuses on reaching out to the community and specifically concentrates on reaching the rural population that does not feel comfortable at a "conventional" church. The church's award winning Canelo Cowboy Church No Chicken Wire Band plays bluegrass style worship songs on Sunday mornings and also performs western music at local events. Once a month, the church, in conjunction with other cowboy churches, hosts a free rodeo that draws participants from all over southern Arizona. The rodeo is followed by Cowboy Church led by Pastor Steve Lindsey and lunch.
Until now, CCC has been meeting in the old, one room school house in Canelo, AZ and hosting the rodeo in Sonoita, AZ. Because the congregation has outgrown its current building and the rent has risen at the current rodeo grounds, it has been the church's vision to have its own rodeo arena and larger church building at the same location so CCC can further expand and have a greater capacity to serve the local community.
CCC has acquired a piece of property just south of Sonoita, AZ and has almost completed the arena. However, CCC needs your help fulfilling its vision of constructing a large enough building to serve the growing congregation and, in turn, the local community.
