Help our Sister-in-Christ Get a Wheelchair Van!

When you meet Candie Goodno, she’s always smiling and offering to help others - family, friends, or strangers. Now she and her two boys need help!
Candie cares for her two sons who have Muscular Dystrophy, Billy and Tim. They are both confined to wheelchairs. They were diagnosed with the disease at 18 months and 5 months and are now 34 and 33. The disease has progressed to the point where Billy now only has the ability to move his wrists to operate his wheelchair.
It takes a couple of people and a Hoyer lift to help him get out of bed. Candie recently lost her husband, who was the love of her life and their main support. Now the boys are totally reliant on her. In 'Candie fashion', her only wish is to give her sons a better life.
The boys are trapped in their home because they do not have a handicap accessible vehicle. The family needs a wheelchair van that can accommodate both boys and they need help to purchase a vehicle - Medicare does not help with this expense.
A new wheelchair van ranges in cost between $60,000-$70,000. Billy has an oversized chair which with him weights approximately 800 lbs. so they are limited with some vans fitting two wheelchairs. Our goal is to raise $75,000 for them to purchase an accessile vehicle.
