Dear Friends,
I want to express my gratitude for everyone who continues to contribute to this campaign, with donations and by spreading the word. Without your assistance at this difficult time, I don’t know where I would be. It is time for a progress report to tell you how much of a difference you have made so far.
In a few short weeks, I have progressed immensely from the Social Media Marketing course I have been upgrading with. I am happy to say that there has been significant progress in terms of skill-set and the ability to apply that skill-set to my own socials. I'm already getting (albeit small-scale) interest in my skills and ability to generated a healthy ROI (return on investment) for potential clients. However, I am still in the process of trying to finish up this course and financially secure new (potential) clients. I have begun marketing myself everywhere possible and I am very confident that I will be able to secure clients in the coming weeks to month.
This means that we are in the home stretch in terms of bringing this gofundme campaign to a close once and for all. It has been incredibly humbling to have been in a position where I was literally being told that my skill-set was not enough (or in some cases, too much!) which meant struggling like crazy to secure employment. I also got very sick in that time as well and I contribute that to stress in the job search. I have always had gainful employment alongside my hobby of writing on my blog so there was never the need to 'enhance' my skill-set since I was always fully capable of covering any costs associated with my extracurricular activities. The past few years while writing and in working on my own social media, I began to see the merit in having social media management skills but sadly, it wasn't enough because there were still a few grey areas in this career path for me and I lacked the ability to take on the role of Social Media Marketer with confidence. Now, it has been incredibly inspirational in terms of taking charge and aiming to get myself back on my feet again because I have already begun spearheading my destiny by taking a social media marketing online course.
As I had originally projected, getting as close to my goal with this campaign ($13,000) will allow the breathing room to finish off this month with the Social Media Marketing online course so I can begin actively seek & recruit clients in September, 2018 without having interruption (in services) because of a bill not being paid. I am asking all of my friends and loyal supporters of what I do to please help me in giving this campaign one last push so that I can ensure rent & immediate bills are covered so that I can use the resources like power, internet, etc to be able to successfully transition into my role as Social Media Marketer/Strategist.
Words can not express how grateful I am for those who have donated and to those who continue to support this campaign whether it was with a $5 donation, a share, or even a $1000 donation. I will never forget your kindness!
If you can continue to help by contributing anything at all, if you can share this campaign with people who can help, I would deeply appreciate the breathing room to give it my all to finish conquering this challenge, and come out stronger. I have always believed in giving what I can, paying it forward, and supporting others who are struggling in life, or struggling to create and build something in the world. I look forward to being once again in the position to pay it forward, as I know this chapter in my story is not the end of my ability to make a difference in the world.
