Camp Kadimah - New Bonfire Site!

My name is Andrew Spinner. I am a Camp Kadimah alumni, having attended as a camper from 1994 to 2001, Machar staff from 2004 to 2006, and now married to my 2005/2006 CK banquet date!
Over the past few years, I have been looking to help our favourite camp, and second home, to fundraise for things that will make camp even more awesome for the next generation.
Together, we last crowdfunded a new mini court that became a huge success at camp. According to camp's Director, Phil David, it was used a ton last summer! So much so, that some parents of campers decided to sponsor the creation and paving of two other courts!
This time around, camp needs your help with another AMAZING project.
A NEW BONFIRE SITE!
And not just any bonfire site that's too far to walk to. It will be placed between Cabin 25 and the Moadon, on the Chadar side of the bridge. A temporary site was set up and used a lot there last summer and now we want to make it a permanent fixture at camp.
When I reflect on what I love about camp, it usually involves hanging out with friends, sometimes someone playing on their guitar and everyone else singing along. Those are my favourite memories.
The new bonfire site will allow this generation of campers and staff to have more frequent chills around the fire, more marshmellow roasting, more friendships being made, more flirting, more singalongs with the beautiful Lake William as a background, and most importantly, more memories to be made.
It also will be a fantastic staff lounge at night.
The estimated cost is $3,000. Including the GoFundMe fees, this will include some digging, landscaping the trees in the area to make it more open, and the permanent furniture. Should the cost come in less than $3,000, the balance will be used towards funding any critical capital projects the camp needs.
Please join me in helping out the next generation of campers and staff to ensure they continue to have the best summers of their lives, something we were all so fortunate to experience.
For every $50 you donate, you will get one vote towards selecting a name for this new site at camp. Stay tuned for details.
