Caiden Anson, son of Jamey and Michelle Anson, has been severely burnt from the waist down from a freak accident. Caiden is 11 years old with 2nd degree burns to his lower extremities. 60% of Caiden’s legs were burnt from the fire. Caiden and his mother Michelle were flown to Syracuse from Gouverneur hospital. Caiden’s father and sisters drove from Gouverneur to the Syracuse Hospital. Currently the family is at Upstate Medical in Syracuse NY. Caiden has been in the pediatric ICU since Sunday afternoon 7/1/18. Caiden had surgery on Tuesday 7/3/18. The burn team did not know the extent of his burns until they exposed the rest of him in the operating room. Caiden may have to undergo another surgery. This little guy has endured excruciating pain for the past few days that heavy medication is hardly touching. Due to the medication Caiden is on, and the amount of pain this little boy is going though, his little body is very stressed out. He has had severe panic and anxiety attacks, his vitals have been high, and along with Caiden, his family is scared. Caiden’s sisters, mother, and father, have been at Caiden’s bedside through everything. The family is trying their best to be strong for Caiden and show him that everything is going to be ok. Caiden has to go through Physical and Occupational therapy in order for him to be able to walk the same again. As many of you know, Caiden is a high strung, energetic boy. He loves anything that has to do with the outside. Caiden goes hunting and fishing with his dad, he loves to ride his dirt bike, build things, and help Dad in the garage. Caiden enjoys playing outside with his friends and riding bikes. Caiden is being as strong as he can be, and him and his family need all the support they can get.
All money raised will go to the family for expences staying out there with Caiden, traveling back and forth from hospital and home which is a 2 1/2 hour ride one way!
