Childrens Miracle Network Hospitals

On April 21st, I will be taking part in the Tar Heel Double Down challenge, and using this as another oppertunity to raise money for Children's Miracle Network Hospitals (CMNH). CMN hospitals is a non-profit organization that raises money to help families who have children in the hospital with critical medical conditions. Not only does the money stay local, but CMNH has many events where you are able to interact with these families and watch the donations in use.
Coming to Chapel Hill allowed me to find a home away from home, Phi Mu. Along with a second home, Phi Mu also gave me the opportunity to connect and help an organization that is so very close to my heart, Children's Miracle Network Hospitals. I will be donating the money I raise to my my two local CMN hospitals, Duke Children's in Durham, NC (College), and Maria Fareri Children's in Valhalla (home).
The double down challenge is a 14 mile race that combines the 4mi and the 10mi track of the Tar Heel 10 Miler. This race is so special because it embraces the outpouring support of the community, and the celebration of school and town spirt.For most you you who know me, you know that I hate running more than going to the dentist. . . so accepting the challenge of 14 miles may be biting off more than I can chew!! For motivation, I am asking friends, family, and anyone else that would like to help this cause to pledge a dollar amount for each mile I complete, or a single donation.
It would mean the world to me for y'all to help me reach my goal. Every single dollar is appreciated, and you'll get the enjoyment of watching me struggle through 14 miles (hopefully).
