The epic series CHROME was filmed over the last fifteen years. Persevering through setbacks and starts and stops, merging the work of 100s of artists to produce an upside-down-world where the humans are the oppressors over a sentient robot species evolved from machinery.

With the use of mostly over scale miniatures and live action elements with a minimum of CGI, the production has built in retro-qualities reminiscent of the 1920s classic robot Sci-Fi Metropolis. Contributions will also bring on top level star talents to voice lead characters who are robots and provide an ultimate Sci-Fi experience!








CHROME episode 1 (24 minutes), will debut online on platforms iTunes, Vudu, Amazon and Vimeo on September 7, 2017, with a new 24 minute episode premiering every week to unfold the six part tale.

We have labored years to bring the story of this massive clash between the dark forces of a lost human race and the robots who ultimately must save them to the screen. The format of 24 minute episodes is perfectly in keeping with the retro style of CHROME and harkens back to the exciting Saturday serialized action thrillers of another era.


Director Timothy Hines: "This is my labor of love, 15 years in the making, epic adventure Miniseries CHROME coming to iTunes, Vudu, Amazon and Vimeo in the Fall. 'Episode 1 - Robots Never Escape,' premiering September 7th. I grew up in the 1960s, the golden era of comic books and Saturday morning serials like Rocket Man were still around. I had always envisioned CHROME in the style of Metropolis, then recently, George Miller came out with Mad Mad: Fury Road, with a mix of saturated colors and, like CHROME, most FX being done practical with miniatures and full scale sets. I knew that the time for CHROME is now. Very excited!"


CHROME has been at every major Hollywood studio over the years. Most felt the picture was too big in scope to get made with a story that sympathized with the robots over the brainwashed human populace. So we did it by hand as a labor of love over years.

Now, instead of releasing CHROME through a major distributor, who will sand the heart and uniqueness out of the picture to create something bland and redundant, we are cutting out the middleman and taking it to you!
