Coward COG Flood Repair

On Sunday, October 4, 2015, the Coward Church of God in Coward, South Carolina suffered severe flooding due to the rain that inundated the East Coast.
Mere hours after holding an abbreviated morning service, Pastor Kevin Byrd went out to check on the church and found 6-8 inches of water in every room. Trash cans floated through the Sunday School classrooms, donation boxes for the Samaritan's Purse program and the SC Home for Children drifted into the sanctuary, and, in places, the carpet had already lifted up and away from the floor.
We are asking anyone that will to please pray for our church, first and foremost, that God will guide our Pastor and church leaders in making decisions. We are also asking for donations for our repairs. We are eternally thankful that we all have our lives, and now we will begin the arduous process of assesing the damage, cleaning out the church, and repairing what needs to be fixed. Any money raised here will go directly to the Coward Church of God in Coward, South Carolina and will be used to repair and replace what the flood waters destroyed. We would love to begin reparis as soon as possible so we will we be able to celebrate in our home church this Christmas season, and maybe even have our Homecoming service in November.
