Bykowski Tailor & Garb's Merganser Button boot is unique in style, craftsmanship, and quality.  Boots, especially stylish boots are simply not made to this standard often. They're Goodyear welt which means the sole is stitched and not glued, they can be resoled for a lifetime of use. Our leather soles will wear down less than rubber soles and all around Full Grain Italian leather is of the highest natural grade and is not sanded down. The steel shank in the arch supports maximum comfort and improved stability which even only select work boots apply. Let us tell you about ourselves. We're a Combat Veteran and family owned and operated menswear design house and lifestyle brand in Austin, Texas. $10 from each pair sold with be donated to our Veteran comrades experiencing PTSD. All pledges have portions benefitting the VA.  We create gentlemen's garb inspired by times past, though our sustenance is classic/modern menswear. Each piece in our head to toe collections including hats, formal and casual suiting, accessories, leather goods, and boots are designed in-house and handcrafted by our small team of craftsmen locally and around the world.

We formed in 2009 when we, Christopher & Wendy Bykowski were planning our Edwardian inspired nuptials and found stylish and fitted menswear options lacking. Christopher specifically wanted rustic, dandy, yet stylish for today's man menswear in quality fabric at an accessible price. If we were seeking the niche style, others had to be as well. Dandy'sThe Gentleman's Store was born as a pop up tent on a dirt lot on South Congress Avenue in 2011. We recently rebranded  our haberdashery brick & mortar of our dreams in the heart of downtown to Bykowski Tailor & Garb.

Being  a small brand and business in a growing city outgrowing its grassroots, we've exasperated our resources into our head to toe product development to grow and maintain. 

Since getting started in 2009 we were hellbent to produce a well designed and crafted balmoral button boot for ready to wear at an affordable price to complete our head to toe designs. The first generation button boot debuted at SXSW in 2012 and was the first of its kind on the ready to wear market, we then offered a small and completely handcrafted inTexas run in 2013, and a perfect prototype with our English team last year. 


However, every time we're ready for our thrid generation production we attempt to make small run and new problems arise whether it be leather, production, lack of craftsmanship, time, or funds to continue and ensure quality control while maintaining design and production of the rest of our line. It has taken its toll on our livelihood, mind, body, and souls. We've been getting kicked down from every angle and it has been an uphill battle with blood, sweat and tears which is hard to admit in such a cliche.
