Hello friends and family,
God has laid on my heart a desire to go out into the world and minister to those that are less fortunate than I. I believe that there has been a calling on my life for a long time, but I just wasn’t listening. I want you all to know that I am listening now. My mom and dad mentioned an organization called YWAM or Youth with a Mission a while back and ask me to pray about it. I, of course didn’t think much about it because I was just too busy living my life. But through a series of events, that seed my parents planted grew in my heart and I went to my mom and we talked and prayed. I went to my pastor and we talked and prayed. I know now that God has called me to do something great! To be a man after His own heart like David. To go and reach people and show them the love of Christ, like the love Christ has shown me.
Why YWAM:
For many years I have been confused about the bible and what Gods purpose was for me. My desire was to understand Him fully and be so close to Him, but I just didn’t know how. I desperately desire to be so in love with the Lord that NOTHING will waiver my faith in Him. I want to serve Him wholeheartedly. YWAM offers an intense discipleship program and that what appealed to me the most. I want to be with others that have the same desires as I do; to grow close to the Lord and love on people.
I have been through a lot in the past few years, and through it all I believe that God was preparing me for this exact moment. He has put people in my life to guide me and direct me to this place and time for this specific reason and I am taking a step of faith. I don’t know if Africa is where God wants me, but God just wants us to move and He will direct our path. I trust that when I start walking, He is going to guide my every step. I want to share the lyrics to a song that that I wrote. Many of you that know me know that my words get tangled easily and that I am hard to understand at times. I know that God put these words in my heart, because I would not have been able to come up with them on my own.
“ I give you my eyes, I give you my sight, I give you my hands, I give you my feet. So, tell me where to go, tell me what to feel, tell me what to see, God, tell me what to do. I give you my heart, I give you my soul, I give you everything Lord, tell me what to do.” These words are the desire of my heart.
Psalm 25:4-5 Make me know Your ways, O LORD; Teach me Your paths. Lead me in Your truth and teach me, For You are the God of my salvation; For You I wait all the day.
I am stepping out and believing, but I also need people to partner with me, both financially and in prayer. I have to raise $4000.00 for the Discipleship program and another $2500 for my airfare by January 2018. I am working and saving every penny I can but I am asking for support as well. Please consider praying about how you can join with me, whether financially or in prayer, in the call that the Lord has placed on my life.
