Bryan Vigeant's Medical Expenses

Bryan Vigeant, a lifelong Marlborough resident and assistant Project Manager at S&F Concrete, has been my colleague for 5 years. In the time that I’ve known Bryan, I have watched him struggle with his genetic illness, Cystic Fibrosis.
Bryan is a kind, friendly, hard-working young man who has now been given the opportunity for a lung transplant. Consequently, due to his illness and the time it will take to have surgery and recover, Bryan and his family will incur substantial expenses, so he will need help to get him through this time. Here is Bryan’s story in his own words:
My name is Bryan Vigeant, I am 27 years old and I was born with a genetic disorder called Cystic Fibrosis (CF). CF affects the pancreas, liver, kidneys, intestines, but most of all the lungs. CF causes a buildup of mucus in the lungs clogging the airways and traps bacteria leading to infection, extensive lung damage and eventually, respiratory failure. Throughout my life I have never allowed CF to define who I am. Growing up and straight through high school I was active in athletics; football, baseball, and basketball. I have always enjoyed snowboarding in the winter and wake boarding in the summer. I graduated from Wentworth Institute of Technology, with a BS in Civil Engineering, where I pursued my passion for construction. Since graduating I began working for S&F Concrete Contractors where I really have begun to grasp the concept of concrete construction.
In the summer of 2016 I came down with pneumonia, and on top of the Cystic Fibrosis, this really debilitated me. I was hospitalized for 3 months to fight the infection and since then have been hospitalized 5 more times. I have never really recovered, but the life as I knew it had changed. I am on oxygen full time and am awaiting a double lung transplant. I am no longer able to work because my body does not allow me to do so. I am trying to raise money to help with medical costs and expenses while I endure this process. Anything will help, thank you.
