Brittany’s London Study Abroad

I have been given the opportunity to study Gender, Sex and Feminism in the United Kingdom for the month of July! I have been granted the rare opportunity of taking my 2-year old son with me on this wonderful experience.

Completing the last two years of my undergraduate degree at Michigan State University with my son and holding an average of 3.5 grades in all of my classes since returning to school with him has inspired me to do any and everything I put my mind too! I always wanted to study abroad during my undergraduate course study and I didn’t think it was financially possible. However, I have learned that all things are possible with God, the right mind and great intentions!!

 VERY minimal funding is provided by MSU from financial aid,  and I am facing the struggle of saving adequate money to comfortably fund the trip due to the fact the school is NOT covering The housing for myself and my son while we are in the UK because he can’t be covered under the Study Abroad student housing contract. 


In total it will cost around $14,000 
   For everything. This includes: tuition, housing, childcare, travel costs to and from The United Kingdom, travel costs while in the UK, and other necessities for class and living a month abroad for my son and I.

At this time everything has been covered! However, there is still a substantial amount that would help cover the costs of sustaining ourselves while we are in London, England.

Any funds you are able to contribute to this great cause will be greatly appreciated and will assist my son and I, a safe and enjoyable experience while studying abroad in London this July 2018.
