Brian & Shimeaka Hodges Fund

Donation protected
Bakersfield residents Brian and Shimeaka Hodges were vacationing in Cabo San Lucas with close friends when tragedy struck. What was supposed to be a fun ziplining adventure turned into a living nightmare when Brian -- in front of his wife Shimeaka and friends -- crashed into the side of a mountain. On July 20, he suffered a severe brain injury and has been in a medically-induced coma in a Mexican hospital. Their insurance will not cover injury suffered outside of the U.S., so Shimeaka had to come up with $50,000 out of pocket for emergency medical care. The Hodges now need financial assistance. Please give what you can. EVERY LITTLE BIT WILL HELP.

***Update

While, we are happy to report that Brian and Shimeaka, have both made it back to the US- and is receiving treatment at an undisclosed CA hospital, his current medical condition is unknown.

The initial goal of $50,000.00 was met very quickly, and The Hodges Family is grateful for all of the love & support.

Since there is still a significant need for continued financial support, the goal will remain at $100,000- but it's your prayers at this very difficult time are the primary and immediate need.

Out of respect for the Hodges family privacy, I am declining any interviews until further notice.
