Brenden's Medical Fund

This is our son Brenden Rosado. Brenden is the most loving, joyful 5 year old you will ever meet.  As a baby, Brenden was diagnosed at 6 months old with Infantile Spasms, a rare form of epilepsy in infants. As he has gotten older, his seizure have evolved and progressed, increasing in number, form, and severity. He currently has between 18-20 seizures a day, and has not responded to several anti-seizure medications.  He was diagnosed furthur with Lennox-Gastuat Syndrome (LGS) in December 2016, after furthur testing. He now suffers from a combination of atonic seizures (drop seizures), Tonic seizures (stiffened siezures), Absence seizures (blank stares), and Spasms (head jerks). LGS causes delays in cognitive abilities and intellectual abilities, as well as delays in fine and gross motor skills. Brenden cannot speak, he cannot feed himself, he cannot bathe himself or use the bathroom on his own. Brenden is unable to perform alot of the daily functions that we sometimes take for granted. It has not been easy for Brenden, he often times gets upset and frustrated, he often cries because he cannot express himself, and as his parents it hurts that we cannot always understand or simply take his seizures away. Our prayers are to get him the best care we absoutely can. We believe he will one day speak, that he will one day be able to eat on his own, that he will one day say "I Love You". Right now we are having Brenden furthur evaluated for better educational care and furthur medical care. We are looking to raise money to cover the costs of these evaluations, as our insurance will not cover some of these costs, and I am unable to work at the time due to a back injury.
