Brendan's Road to Recovery

On March 8, 2017 my son's father Brendan had a sudden and massive heart attack that nearly took his life.  After a series of unbelievable miracles, and thanks to an amazing medical team, he miraculously survived and now has a second chance at life, and to watch his now 5-year-old son Desmond grow up!              

As of Monday 3/20 the word from the doctor was that he may have to wait one year (if not more) to go back to work. Disability told him he may have to wait 3-6 months to start to get benefits (which are roughly only 3/4 of regular pay).  Brendan has always been a hard worker, and being down from work is going to leave him in serious financial hardship.  The nature of his work (construction) is very physical, and although too early to know for sure, there's a chance he will not be able to return to that line of work, period.  And soon, the medical co-pays and deductibles will start rolling in.  Early estimates are looking to be close to $40,000. This is WITH a health insurance policy he paid close to $400 per month into. I'm hoping to raise some money to help get him back on his feet, maintain his bills and hopefully keep him from stressing about things so he can heal, and figure out his options for his future in peace.  

Brendan is one of my dearest friends.  He's loud and wild with one of the most dynamic personalities I've ever seen, but gentle and very compassionate.  He saved another man's life a few years ago, when that man had a heart attack.  He would give you his last dollar if you needed it.  He's helped countless people selflessly, without compensation, simply in the name of being faithful and living a life of servitude.  I want to do something to give back to him so he can regroup, spend time with Desmond and take a few deep breaths without worry.  I thank you for anything you can do to help him!!!
