Brenda Weatherford's journey w/ GBM

This is our mom, on May 4th we took her to the ER because she was having horrible headaches, was dizzy, and "fainting". After hours of waiting and tests, the Dr found a mass in her brain, and she was admitted.
  The afternoon of May 5th she had brain surgery, they found a tumor the size of a large egg. They were able to get most of it out, but suspected that it was an aggressive cancer and sent it off for a biopsy.
   May 8th she was released from the hospital and all her doctors were impressed with her progress.
   May 11th we get the results. She has grade 4 glioblastoma, or GBM. We got the worst news. This means it's the most aggressive cancer, and glioblastoma is incurable. She will undergo treatment but it will only buy us time.
   Mom has a great positive and happy attitude, which helps us to cope.
   It is extremely hard to ask for help.
   Mom does not have medical insurance. We are working on that. But in the meantime, medical bills are starting to come in, and with missed work, money is very tight.
   We TRULY appreciate every little bit of help.
