Breeana's Battle
Donation protected
Last week Breeana Uhlik Arredondo entered the hospital to see what was causing her sudden breathing problems and very rapid weight gain. After numerous tests and surgeries they have received a diagnosis. Breeana has a rare, aggressive form of lymphoma. They have transferred her to Karmanos Cancer Treatment Center to begin her long, hard battle as an inpatient.
On July 31st, Breeana and her husband, George, welcomed their first child, Sophia.
George has been working two jobs in order for Breeana to stay home with their little girl. He will no longer be able to continue with the second job.
How can you help?
First of all, the family has asked that you pray. Please lift Breeana and the entire family before the Lord. They will need strength and courage and comfort that can only come from God.
Second, I would ask that you consider giving monetarily to help the family. George will need assistance to maintain household and baby expenses. Your help will allow him time in the evening to be by his wife’s side and also take care of their baby girl. Like I said above, he will no longer be able to continue with his second job.
I've known Bree since she was a newborn baby. I've watched her grow into a beautiful young woman and it crushes me to watch her now, as a 23 year old new mommy, go through this battle. Now should be the time for diapers and rattles - not chemo and hospital beds.
At a time like this you wonder what you can do to help without getting in the way. Well this is the way. Taking the financial burden away from George and allowing him to focus on Breeana and Sophia is a gift without compare.
Breeana's parents, Marty and Joelle, and her sister, Melissa are aiding in both her and Sophia's care. Please lift them in prayer as well. I know they would take this fight upon themselves in a heartbeat if they could. No matter how old your child is - they are still your baby. Pray for their strength and health as they stand as warriors beside Breeana and George.
It's going to be a long battle but Breeana is a strong woman!
Please give!
