Okay…Take a DEEP BREATH. Lucky us. We just did.
But our friend has lost this “take it for granted” life requirement. He’s got a perfect mind and body… but now diseased lungs. He's having trouble walking and even showering without total exhaustion and breathlessness. But lucky for him, he lives in a time when medical science has come up with a solution.
However, It's not practiced in the USA because it lacks our FDA approval … But they can do it in France …Yeah, that’s right, the Frenchies.
Do your research. Sadly he might not be the only friend that experiences this COPD story (Emphysema and Chronic Bronchitis). But happily he could be one of those “success” case studies for this new minimally invasive procedure called "Lung Volume Reduction Coil Treatment", which might lead the U.S. to allow it for countless others in the future, FDA willing…
One hurdle. He’s got to get to France. Got to stay almost two months. Two lungs. Two surgeries. One at a time. Weeks apart. Worse, the Doctor who will perform them is in Nice, on the French Riviera. Sounds fun for a vacation. But really expensive for recovery.
Several friends have shown up and will cover the cost of the hospital and both the surgeries.
Now we're counting on smaller contributions from so many other friends to be able to cover travel and housing for him and his partner Nani. We’re getting the word out through this GoFundMe campaign to make it easy to contribute…
