Good afternoon,
I am single homeless mother trying to make ends meet. I have a job but it does not pay enough for housing. Right now, a homeless serice organization is paying for our hotel stay. Without their help, both my son and I would be out the streets or sleeping in my car.
I work hard to be a good mother. We've faced a lot of challenges over the years. I won't give up fighting to provide a better life for my son! I just need a little help.
I have a dream of going to law shcool. I believe I am a strong advocate for the African American community. I was the former African Student Organzation President at California State University of Northridge. I was very active on campus. I graduated last May 23, 2017. I want to be the first Ugandan woman on the Supreme Court. I know that's a big vision but I am determined to make that happen.
Living in a hotel is vicious cycle. It's hard to save up to get out of here, but I know some day soon we will. I am looking for an apartment and I pray we will be able to find something that I can afford.
Thankfully, we get meals delievered from a non-profit organization on Rayen only once a week. Unfortunately, my son has severe allergies; he's allergic to milk, eggs, cheese, gluten, wheat, and the entire peanut family. My food stamps just got cut off yesterday. So, now my paycheck will be going to Whole Foods and Trader Joes because those are the only two places he can eat from! Your donations will help me to make sure he gets healthy and nutrious food.
Also, he is boy so, he is outgrowing all of his clothes and he is thin in stature so, he also has severe eczema and it flares up extremely bad in the summer. So, your donations will also go to purchasing him new shorts and light jeans for the summer. He's allergic to sun block so, I use Trimacelone .01 % for his skin.
