Brazil Mission Trip

I am raising funds to go on a mission trip to help at the Davis Lar Orphanage in Brazil. I am trying to raise $3,300 to pay for the trip and the cost of getting a passport (this amount does not include the amount I will be spending out of my own pocket). The first payment of $280 for the trip is due on March 15th. Unless I can raise enough money I will be unable to go on this trip.
When the opportunity for this mission trip was announced at my church I had two reactions. The first was that it would be fun to do and would be a great learning experience for me. The second was a strong feeling that I should apply to go because God wanted me to do so. I have never been on a mission trip before and I am looking forward to getting the opportunity to go on this one.
Another reason I would like to go on this mission trip is because I am currently sponsoring an eight-year-old girl in Brazil through Child Fund. This mission trip would give me a chance to learn about her culture first hand, even though I wouldn't get to meet her in person because she is in a different part of Brazil.
I have been volunteering with kids since I was about twelve years old helping my parents run their two Girl Scout troops. I became an assistant leader and first aider when I turned eighteen in 2000.
I have been helping with my church's Vacation Bible School (V.B.S.) since I was about fifteen. I became a lead shepherd (group leader) when I turned eighteen and have been helping with 3rd or 4th graders ever since.
I have also been a volunteer referee for A.Y.S.O. (American Youth Soccer Organization) since I was fifteen when there weren't enough players for my age level to form teams in my area. This meant I had to take a class to be certified to be a center referee.
I currently work as a playground supervisor at a local elementary school. I have always liked working with kids and I hope I can raise enough money to go on this mission trip and help with the kids at the orphanage. Any amount you can give will help and will be greatly appreciated.
