As a human rights activist in Quebec, I am very dismayed with how disrespectful the Government of Quebec, in particular, the SAQ, is to the Anglophone minority.
In Quebec, there are no bilingual signs hanging at SAQ outlets, BUT in Ontario, at their LCBO liquor outlets, there are bilingual signs hanging wherever their Francophone minority exceeds 10% of the local population.
In February, I asked the SAQ to post bilingual signs wherever the Anglo minority exceeds 25% (not only 10%) of the population. The request has been ignored and hundreds have written to the SAQ regarding this!
I am calling for a boycott of the SAQ and of liquor/wine purchased in QC.
Funds are needed to place ads on Facebook and encourage ALL Montrealers to purchase their wine/liquor in Ontario where wine is definitely less expensive.
