Boy Scout Camp Bridge Replacement

On behalf of the French Creek Council and Custaloga Town Scout Reservation,  the Deer Creek Crossing has been washed out due to the heavy rains the past few weeks, making access to the bulk of our camp property limited. We are currently working on the problem but do not know when a solution will be completed... (Yes, we are still having summer camp, folks). We are discussing the use of upper camp presently but as you can see from the pictures there is no driving access to the buildings and campsites on the north side of Deer Creek. Initial estimates are up to $200,000 to repair or replace. We are talking with DEP and are exploring MANY options including retired commercial bridges and temporary to permenant bridges that would be approved to carry camp traffic.
